Figuring out self-identity is one of the most challenging parts of middle school. There are so many identities and stereotypes filling school halls that it can be difficult for students to find their own unique voice, stay true to their values and avoid giving into peer pressure. Yet finding your voice and figuring out who you are can be the most rewarding experience a child has.
In this workshop, Smart-Girl will guide girls and parents through a series of activities and discussions to answer the question, “Who am I?” Both parents and girls will work together to help set goals for today and goals for the future that help them stay true to who they are and who they want to be. Participants will also create a project to take home to help them remember their promises to themselves.
Please join us for this very meaningful evening.
