Most of our programs are as a result of partnerships between Smart-Girl and a youth-serving organization(s), such as a school or community organization.
Smart-Girl supplies:
- 27- hour Leadership Training course for guides and coaches (college credit available)
- 60 - 80 hours of research-based curriculum for middle school girls
- A Smart-Girl Program Director for ongoing technical support
- Curriculum Updates
The partner supplies:
- An available pool of middle school girls and the ability and commitment to recruit them
- A Coach. This is a qualified person(s) preferably on the payroll of the partnering organization, such as a school counselor, trained teacher or parent, or program coordinator
- Guides: An available pool of senior high school and/or college-age girls to be trained as Smart-Girl guides (Smart-Girl can supply guides to some organizations. This may be negotiated with each partner via the contract.)
- A location for sessions
- A commitment to provide ongoing support for the girls and the concepts they have learned
- Funding to support the program
