Smart-Girl Annual Luncheon

Please join us for THE TALK: Discussing Sex, Love and Relationships with Your Kids.  The speaker will be Dr. Eliza Buyers, the Medical Director of the Young Women’s Health Program at Rocky Mountain Youth Clinics. Dr. Buyers will address when and how parents need to talk to their children about sex. The presentation will give parents a reality check; what teens are doing vs. how the media portrays teens engaged in sexual behavior.  She will provide practical tips for talking to teens and insight into how to make those conversations meaningful.

” My Dad Listens To Me”: Maintaining Father/Daughter Understanding Through The Years

Youth and Cyberbullying

What Families Don’t Know Will Hurt Them is an interactive two hour training for adult family members that addresses the language, skills, information and challenges associated with cyberbullying. This knowledge will assist families in developing prevention strategies and in helpind their children/teens respond in appropriate ways to incidents of cyberbullying and in promoting safe and respectful environments for all people.  This workshop is designed for parents of children aged 12-18; however, all parents and adult famil members are welcome.

Smart-Girl hosts the exclusive premier of Pietra Santa wines in Colorado at its upcoming event, Full Moon…Full Glass…Full Heart.  This wine tasting soiree will feature heavy paired hors d’oeuvres, live music by jazz ensemble Minor Note Orchestra, telescopes to view the full moon, planets and stars, the opportunity to purchase discounted cases of wine, and a live auction.  Proceeds from the event will benefit Smart-Girl, a Colorado-based nonprofit dedicated to giving girls the skills they need to make smart choices and become confident, capable, self-reliant young women.
